Spider, the patented lab-on-a-chip system. This key platform technology allows complicated, time-critical laboratory-scale tests to be carried out quickly and efficiently at the point of care via a simple, inexpensive, disposable card.

From TTP expertise in microfluidic device and sensor engineering has emerged the Spider lab-on-chip platform technology for automation of complex chemical assays. Spider is targeted at applications in both medical point-of-care and portable industrial sensing applications.

Spider technology enables a simple low-cost, disposable card with integrated wet and dry reagents. The reader instrument is simple in design and free from reagents and waste.

Spider is still in development with initial applications in ELISA assays for critical injury diagnostics. However, the technology is readily transferable to other medical and industrial multi-step and multi-reagent chemistries.
